This is an 8 in by 10 in wax butterfly. A one of a kind piece.
Care
This piece is made from melted wax. Because of that, do not leave it out somewhere hot for extended periods of time. That could cause the image to shift or become damaged in other manners.
Given it was made from melted wax, there are pieces of dried wax on the edges of the canvas. These pieces might break off when handling the artwork taking a bit of the canvas off with it. This is not of concern and totally normal. The actual artwork has melded to the canvas itself and will not come off.
As for cleaning, feel free to use a damp rag to wipe away any dust that may collect as time passes. Soapy water will not damage the artwork. And, once again, if there is some flaking off of the wax on the boarders, that is normal and not a concern.
