COLLECTIONS

My recent collections explore both a concept and a medium. These projects reflect one of my lifelong passions, which is a deep exploration of the ever changing ethos of society. Through the analysis of animal interactions, I am able to extract an artistic representation of the history of mankind.

TO THE PERSON I NEVER MET

Spring 2019

This is based off of a little poem I wrote. I became friends with someone and thought I knew them well, but we fell apart with them claiming I didn't know them at all, that I never met them. This is how I dealt with those feelings.

(It starts with "To the Person I Never Met)

MY LOKI

Spring 2019

My family adopted my dog Loki back in October 2018 because I fell in love with him when I saw him. When he came home, he was sweet for a while, but he quickly became a troublemaker. He was actually a puppy around 6 months old so he was still growing. This is a collection showing his first few months in his new home.

(Starts with Loki in his cage. Made with markers)

Fall 2017

This is the continuation of the story "At What Cost?" It shows the protagonist recognizing that the loss of her wings didn't solve anything and just made her lose herself. I left it purposefully unclear as to what happens between the black and white depressive environment and the bright environment in color. I wanted the reader to try to imagine what would happen next for the protagonist.

AT WHAT COST

Fall 2017

This was my first time experimenting with creating a story using art. It kind of set me on the path towards the fallen angel ideas. This is a different kind of central idea: sacrificing what makes you special to fit in.
